'Some Boys Don't Leavesome boys don't leave' is a short film about what happens when the break-up happens but the break does not. 'Boy' is forced to come to terms with the fact that 'Girl' no longer wants him around. The only problem is he just can't seem to leave their once shared apartment.

about the journey

Maggie Kiley was one of eight women selected out of hundreds to take part in the the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women. This film was made as part of the 2009 Cycle. The film premiered at the Academy Award Qualifying Florida Film Festival in April of 2010 and continues to play festivals around the world. Maggie received the Student Visionary Award at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and the Alexis Award for Best Emerging Student Filmmaker at the 2010 Palm Springs International Some Boys Don't Leave.Shortfest. Maggie also received the great honor of being one of just five Film 'Groundbreakers' invited to Hatch Asheville, where she was mentored by acclaimed director Jon Amiel. In August, the film received Second Place for Best Short at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

what comes next
